Hello from South America

Hi there Room 7. I hope your holidays are going well and you are being good. Here I am stuck between some Peruvian dolls at the airport in Lima, the capital of Peru. How embarrassing! I might see if Mrs Z will buy me a poncho. I'm really excited about my holiday. Love Big G and Mrs Z.

Help Room 7!

Oh my goodness. Mrs Z had to rescue me.It was a close call. Do you know the name of this animal? Love Big G. and Mrs Z.

Big G's School Visit

Hi Room 7. Mrs Z and I visited a tiny school on the way to Colca Canyon. The school is 5000m above sea level, has 11 children and some of them have to walk for two hours to get to school. The school is just one room and has a blackboard and few books. The children sang us a song. I think we should write to them and send them a photo of our classroom next term. We dropped the children off some fresh fruit. Hope your holidays are going well. Love Big G and Mrs Z,

Big G Enjoying South America

Guess what I went shopping with Mrs Z high up in the Andes and she bought Room 7 some flute pipes and a whistle that sounds like a bird. Miss you all - love Big G.

Big G Enjoying South America

Here I am having a lunch break in the Andes. You can see the inca terraces behind me. Mrs Z had to rescue me because a nosey llama came over and tried to eat my banana! Love Big G.

Where in South America is Big G?

Hi Room 7. Guess where I am? If you look closely in the background you can just make out the ruins of  a town high up in the Andes at the start of the Amazon Jungle. The views are amazing up here. Hope your holidays are going well. Love from Big G and Mrs Z.

Where in South America is Big G Now?

Hey Room 7. Here I am looking at some floating reed islands on the largest fresh water lake in South America - at about 3800 metres above sea level. I am suffering from a bit of altitude sickness! Can you name the lake I am looking at? Love from Mrs Zieltjes

Chair Tag

Room 7's favourite game is chair tag. Half the class sit on chairs facing alternate ways as in the video above. They are the taggers. The other half of the class line up and have turns at running around and through the chairs, trying not to get tagged. The tagger cannot go between the chairs. Keep going until everyone in the team has had a turn. The winning team is the team that stays in the longest. Give it a go and tell us how your game went.
